Floral Fitness | (Not So) Lazy Lace
The start of each new year brings out the little fitness gurus in us all. Some of us want to lose weight, some of us want to tone up and get some muscle on, and some of us (*points at self*) just want to start as we mean to go on and do something easier and give up crisps for a bit…or something.
The thing is, 2017 looks like it’s doing things a little different with the activewear niche, with more and more people turning to this department for simply stylish comfort!
Gone are the days where you’ve only got a tracksuit in a couple of colours to choose from, with everything looking very military and unisex. Designers in sports wear are being more and more creative with their cuts and styles that bring these garments out for those of us who just want to look fly on a quick run to the shops, you know? I seriously can’t do that in my old 90s shell suits (If you beg to differ, I’m not even going to attempt to prove anything anyway).
Now there are vloggers and bloggers from the likes of Scarlet London, Tanya Burr, and Holly Annaeree who are rocking incredible “every day looks” in activewear in addition to their actual gym wear preferences for getting an actual sweat on.
FLORAL FITNESS | STELLA MCCARTNEY
I recently found out that Stella McCartney has a collab with Adidas whilst clicking through farfetch.com/uk emails! Now I used to own an awesome light running jacket from a previous collab she did many years back, but if I’m honest I had no idea she had continued to work with Adidas to bring us even more!
So here’s a little personalised ensemble I’ve put together to take us from a cosy, super cute mooch around the house, to the treadmill later if we wish!
Teaming up floral patterns in clothing and accessories, along with accents of ‘ruffle’ (huge trend lately!) is a really feminine and fun twist toward any look, for example adding this ruffle trimmed sweatshirt into the sporty ensemble above takes the edge off when you need to take the chill of, but still keeps in sync perfectly with the vibe of the outfit in general.
Saying that, I love a simple sports top and comfy sweat combo . As you can see, even this monochrome use of the StellaM crop is super effortless yet practical, comfortable style!
(Not so) Lazy Lace.
A super chic and slinky look just perfect for flitting around the London Underground at that ever bustling peak time hustle, or something for a sprint to spin class!
Black is incredibly flattering and an ultimate style classic, we all know this, and I absolutely adore a nice fitting jumpsuit. They’re so comfy, and absolutely ideal for feeling unrestricted when nipping about, and likewise, if participating in something quite cardio intensive – like spinning or rowing.
A monochrome look is timeless, and I absolutely adore the lace print detailing on the Adidas Originals sweat top to again, top up the femininity. Teamed with a designer leather bag, this look isn’t just practical, it’s structured in it’s make up and on point classy.
It’s in the little details. I love the cross back on this bodysuit. Also, check out the casual shoe combo on this model too? Perfect.
