Androgyny and Santa Pod.
Last weekend was the Retro Show at Santa Pod Raceway.
The Retro Show is a classic car and bike show with a difference: Unlike most shows where you park up in a field and sip tea, this is an action-packed day where you can take part in the racing and show & shine whatever type of retro machinery you have.
Retro Show is open to all retro vehicles including cars, bikes, scooters and lorries from the 1950’s through the 1980’s to 1995. Featuring: RWYB, Drag Demos, Show & Shine, Traders, Auto Jumble, Club Stands, Weekend Camping, Vehicles 4 Sale Paddock, Evening Entertainment, Fun Fair Rides and more. – retroshow.co.uk
I love a pretty dress. There’s a fabulous feeling being floaty, however on this day I was feeling much more a “polished, casual” vibe. The female “Androgynous” trend is awesome. I love it. I understand how it might not be for every lady, but I do love a good pair of chinos and a shirt for feeling comfortable, but looking sharp. I like to keep my hair a statement too with ensembles like this, with nude and neat makeup.
Shirt by Ralph Lauren Polo
This Ralph Lauren Polo ‘Harper’ Shirt shows off subtle, clean cut vertical lines, with a strong, rigid collar and sturdy fabric. It’s breathable, yet structured, and incredibly soft on the skin. The shirt is 100% cotton, and luxuriously thick. No reason to burden yourself with a jacket in this on a sunny day, however a structured navy blazer would work fantastically. I’m wearing a size XS/6, and I picked mine up at Tessuti.co.uk.
Suit Trousers by Topshop Tailored
Topshop craft some pretty impressive tailored items, and these trousers are no exception. These are a mid-rise on the waist, with a slight crop at the ankle, and fasten with a hook and button with a zip fly. They’re fitted on the legs, with a rigid yet comfortable cut to the fabric. There are sharp pleats to the front, and side pockets to unpick. I’m wearing a size 6. You can pick these up from most larger Topshop stores, or online at topshop.com.
