Yet another reason to pop in and say ‘Hi’ to Alice, Albertine, and Elaine as they get together again to host yet another Blogosphere Magazine meet up – this time in the form of a spangled Christmas affair in a cute little space at The Strand Gallery, London.
An intimate collection of stands showing off their goodies for Chringle-some inspiration, the likes of ‘The London Tea Company‘ were back on board to show off their latest flavours, as well as ‘…So?’ fragrances, ‘7th Heaven‘ (lovely to know I have a face to be remembered by those guys, haha), and the fab ladies from ‘Social Superstore‘ were also there to catch up with again (and thank again for my Mulberry Bag win…did I tell you about that? Not sure I even did!).
Just a heads up on The London Tea Company right now. They have two new flavours coming for Christmas and New Year. One is ‘Winter Wondermint‘ which absolutely blows your socks off with minty menthol…madness. I have to say, and I was honest, the initial wave of mint smacking you in the mouth at first was far too overwhelming for me. I’m not a huge minty fan anyway, and this was too much – BUT- If you love mint tea then my gosh you’ll be in heaven with this. The other was definitely more me, and was a fruity, pomegranate based infusion coming fresh to 2017 (spoilers).
Never met these ladies before, but they had a very fairy tale display, and some extremely twinkly cakes on offer to boot. There are tonnes of Beauty related subscription boxes out there on the market at the moment, from GlossyBox to Birch Box, and even online stores like Look Fantastic have their own now, but they do tend to get a little “samey”.
The Libbie Club is a “community of influential beauty fans who are rewarded for reviewing, sharing and referring beauty products. Every month, members of The Libbie Club are sent free beauty products and are rewarded for engaging their friends and followers in buying them.” Every “bblogger’s” dream, right? There’s a flat fee of £35 to join, with limited spaces per month.
Latest in Beauty works in the same way as you would expect from a subscription, in that you get a new box of beauty and makeup related stuffs through the post every month, but there is a slightly different twist in that the brand are coming across as being exceptionally proud to promote the control you have over what goes into your delivery.
Pick 3 products for £9.00pm | Pick 6 products for £15.00pm | Pick 9 products for £18.00pm | Free Delivery!
First off you can choose a level of subscription, depending on your monthly budget. THEN comes the twist. YOU construct your box with the products you want from the selection they have on offer any particular month (so here, for example). If you don’t especially like anything on offer, then you can skip the month as oppose to simply receiving a box whereby the samples and products you get will just go to waste if open the box up ‘blind’, and realise you have a black eyebrow pencil when you’re a platinum blonde (Thanks for the heads up on that one happening, Emmie).
You also ALWAYS have visibility on what size your sample is too, so you won’t be opening a whole bunch of 5mls when you were expecting a full 30ml.
And what is a day out in London without…
Becky Bedbug? IT’S RUBBISH! THAT’S WHAT!!!
Any excuse for a day out in the Big Smoke with my Train Queen. My Blog Bud. My Ghoul-Friend. Once again we teamed up to take on a day of OUR chatter, face feeding, sightseeing, event smushing, all that stuff which makes buds be buds.
I wanted to do something a little fun for our pre-Christmas amble and go all out with matching tulles, because why flipping not? OF COURSE we already had matching tulles to begin with, so it was obviously time to throw them on and get them swishing around like we’d totally know how to work it!
In a post to follow all of its own on this one, Becky took me for my first ever encounter with Bubba Gump Shrimp near Piccadilly – a restaurant replication of the famous ‘Shrimpin’ Business’ Forrest and Bubba were dreaming of in the mega film ‘Forrest Gump’.
From there we wiggled our way to see the ladies at the Blogosphere Christmas do, to then end the day on a quick chill in Starbucks, before walking on across to Waterloo Station as dusk was falling. Such a pretty sight walking over the Thames Bridge. At this time you can just start to see everyone setting up festive sheds and attractions. Great vibe about it.
Truly am starting to feel the Christmas tingles with help from moments like these.
