Marzia Subscription Box April 2016 | “My Rainy Day Box”

Keehee, it’s here, it’s here! Marzia Bisognin, or ‘Cutiepiemarzia’ has launched a brand new, quarterly, and rather gorgeous subscription box off the back of her super popular monthly box which ended it’s stretch late 2015.

The regular monthly boxes were reminiscent of the likes of Birchbox and Glossybox, but were fashioned with all things Marzia, and everything she loved and wanted to share with her audience. I remember things like the special themed box at Halloween, with the Edgar in a pumpkin window decal, and in another there was the cutest pom pom headband ever.

So after those came to a close, Marzia announced a whole new venture with her boxes – a more luxury, premium box to overthrow the smaller monthly ones, but each one of those would be sent out quarterly, so every 3 months.

Make no mistake, bigger it is! The box itself is huge, heavy, and decorated all over. It feels so lovingly crafted and well put together. Such a great job, and once again I noticed that it seems Marzia is going down the themed route again. So fun.

On first opening, you’re greeted with lots of cards with offers and menus, and even a little recipe in there too. We’ll look into those a bit later on, but for now let’s look on at all the pretty things.

Gummy Worms!! Look at those flavours!! Pomegranate Pucker, Mango Tango, Sour Apple Tart, and Perfectly Peach!! Goodness me. Unfortunately, despite being from the YumEarth Organics company, I can’t enjoy these myself as they’re full of things that don’t like me, HOWEVER they made the perfect gift and I seriously enjoyed smelling them…

Inserting a slideshow below for you to have a little browse through for a snapshot of the overall contents, but here’s a quick rundown of the products inside:

  1. Marzipan Umbrella
  2. Crystal Earrings
  3. Winky Lux Limited Edition Lipstick in ‘Coralla’
  4. Gummy Worms by YumEarth Organic
  5. Everything you need to make a DIY Chamomile Potted Herb
  6. $5 Apotheke Gift Card
  7. $10 Gift Card to
  8. Nutella Cheesecake Recipe

The main bulk of the box is primarily taken up by the Chamomile Potted Herb kit, which consists of an amazing selection of paints, modelling clay, seeds, and Instant soil pellets.

It’s such a lovely idea to have something to get creative with in these boxes, and have been an element of Marzia’s themes along the way. This is the biggest yet, though, and I can’t wait to try it. I’ll be sure to let you know how I get on.

As well as the creative elements of Marzia’s box, she always includes a bespoke beauty product too. In the past she has popped in the likes of her own branded nail polishes, and some really lovely lavender bath salts with matching candle once.

This box has an exciting new beauty addition in the form of a “Winky Lux Limited Edition Lipstick” in a lovely nude/coral colour. There are 2 to collect from these boxes, and are a special Marzia edition to the brand. The other colour up for grabs is called ‘Stella Marina’, and is a deep red/plum colour. You can pick up the cutest “Marzia Lip Kit” here which includes both colours, and a Pug Purse to go with them!

I’ll try this colour on this week and let you know what I think of how it wears, but the colour is already a huge “yes” from me, so I can’t wait.

Oh yeah! The Umbrella! Who would have ever guessed that a sub box would ever have a cute umbrella inside?! You can check it out in the picture slideshow above, but it’s a pretty shade of blue with the Marzia logo adorning it all over.

Last pretty thing! Did you see the crystal earrings in the slideshow up there? They’re very on trend with the whole “crystallite” fashions going around, and feel very raw and ‘organic’ (as in matter), and as Marzia has called out, they are easily worn dressed up or down.

And finally on to the paperwork! This is far from the boring work kind. Quite the opposite.

Gift Cards! One for $5 off at Apotheke, a gorgeous all natural, plant based, organic and handmade company supplying candles and skincare to that effect. If you love clean cut, and fresh looking product photography then you’ll love their website too. I’ll definitely be making a purchase, I’m sure you already guessed.

Another is for $10 toward a purchase from Marzia’s online store, here. At the moment the store is pretty empty, however this gift card is meant to be saved until the launch of Marzia’s Spring/Summer ’16 Collection! So happy to hear this. I’ve bought 2 items from Marzia’s previous clothing line (A cute, white sweater with pastel bows on the front, and an “Edgar Can’t Sit With Us” t-shirt), and the quality was lovely. Can’t wait to see what she has come up with for her new season!

The paper piece is a divine recipe for “Nutella Cheesecake”. She’s already blogged the whole thing here, along with an array of the sweetest photos you’ve ever seen on such a topic (Move over Nigella!). You can check it out here.

And goodness me, we’ve reached the end! I’ve enjoyed this first Marzia Box so much, that I truly cannot wait until the next one. This year is moving so quickly though, I can’t believe it!

You can sign up at Marzia’s Shopify here for $29 (plus $12 shipping to the UK or $6.99 US).
