Brrr! I’m being a typical Brit and mentioning the weather, I know, however it’s the perfect excuse for a bath, right?
Today’s video is about just that, along with an explosion of colour and the signature Lush scent wafting around the house.
This little bath bomb here is called ‘Intergalactic’, and here is the official Lush write up:
“Ever wondered what bathing in deep space would be like? Invite the cosmos into your bathroom with this sexy, interstellar bomb and become the guardian of your own galaxy. An awesome mix of refreshing peppermint and neon colour sends your mood rocketing, while popping candy takes you on a trip around the Milky Way. Constellations swirl and pop, creating vibrant lustre vortexes in the night sky. Before you leap too far, rogue layers of vetivert and cedarwood take hold, evoking the warmth of human contact far from home and a hint of 80s aftershave. Return from your intergalactic brief encounter as the grounding scent brings you gently back from orbit.” – Lush (Intergalactic Bathbomb).
I mean sure, I see where they’re going, and they are absolutely not wrong with the effect description, that’s for sure!
It sure does show off the beloved “Galaxy Print” well, and the twinkles are absolutely adorable.
The smell is, as I mention, more citrus than I am used to (I’m a sweet freak!), but I do adore cedarwood scents too, so I was mostly excited about that part.
The bath totally exploded with colour on immediate bathbomb drop.
Purple, blue, green, and foam spun everywhere. Very pleasing to look at, and the smell was immediate, as with all Lush goodies. You never do us wrong, Lush!
Totally like the Milky Way, it was pretty exciting for sure.
The whole event lasted around 3-4 minutes, by which point the entire bath was a shimmering, glittery sea of marine blue.
Since having had the bath, and sitting for around 2 hours whilst editing, I have noticed that the scent hasn’t especially lingered on my skin (nor has the glitter), but I do feel especially energised as oppose to all flopped out, which is exactly what the product aims to do! My skin feels soft, but perhaps not as soft as some of the bath melts in the range give.
So on a pleasing note, Lush, you continue to provide us with the prettiest baths in the world. Please don’t change.
Cost: £3.95 (10/10 for value)
Scent: 6/10 (could do with a little more ‘linger’)
Skin Feel: 6/10 (I feel more of a ‘Mood effect’ than skin effect, but that’s great, and as described!)
“Bomb effect”: 9/10 (Fantastic show!!)
Residue left in empty bath: Little to none. Just a wash down of the remaining sparkle count.
Thanks so much!
